Which Name Took The Title Of Most Valuable Brand In The World?

The world’s top brands have been put to the test by Brand Finance in its annual search for the best in the business, and the results are in!

From the most powerful to the most valuable, and from airlines to technology, the brand valuation and strategy consultancy has emerged with a collection of the hottest names in the industry.

The Brand Finance Global 500 for 2016 was topped by none other than Apple. Are you surprised?

It was followed by Google, Samsung, Amazon, and Microsoft rounding out the top five. Facebook, interestingly, was way down at number 18, behind Coca-Cola and Mickey-D’s.

Whittling it down to the specific media category, Walt Disney came in trumps, followed by Xfinity, NBC International, Fox and ESPN. And in Australia, the top 10 most valuable brands included:

  2. Telstra
  3. Commonwealth Bank
  4. ANZ
  5. BHP Billiton
  6. Coles
  7. westpac
  8. National Australia Bank
  9. Rio Tinto
  10. Optus
