Murray to direct UM Sydney investment division

UM Sydney has handed Andrew Murray (pictured) a promotion to the role of investment director.

Murray, who has been with the agency for nine years, takes over the reins immediately and will report to UM's national investment director Sev Griffiths.

In the past 18 months Murray has led investment portfolios for many of UM Sydney’s non-Government clients, including Taubmans, MasterCard, ING and Brown Forman.

Murray's key responsibilities will be the quality control and cross leadership of UM Sydney's traders, trading managers and investment directors who work on the agency’s non-Government clients.

Griffiths is UM Sydney’s most recent investment director, retaining the role when she took on the national investment portfolio in June last year.

“Andrew has been most impressive in his leadership with clients and internal teams where he has had key responsibilities," said Griffiths. "With such a good performance across his current client portfolio, it is a perfect time to give Andrew a broader stage."

Mat Baxter, CEO of UM Australia, said: "Andrew represents the finest talent available in the industry, so to see him taking on this important role is hugely rewarding."
