Comms Agency Cassette Adds PR Arm And Expands To Hong Kong
Creative communications agency Cassette has announced two significant business expansions – the launch of a public relations arm and the opening of a Hong Kong office.
Cassette’s expansion into public relations comes as a result of demand from current clients for increased strategic communications counsel; PR will sit alongside the existing creative, strategy, print and digital departments within Cassette to provide clients with full service communications support from concept to delivery, via all consumer touch points.
Leading Cassette’s public relations business is consumer PR specialist, Jess Nunns, formerly CEO at Undertow Media. Jess Nunns brings 14 years’ agency experience – delivering communications strategy and major campaigns for brands in the travel, aviation, food/FMCG, health, beauty, lifestyle, retail and corporate sectors – and strong industry and best practice knowledge having been a founding member of the national Public Relations Council (PRC).
Recognising the importance of a strong Sydney presence for PR, Annabelle Jones also joins Cassette as communicators director for Sydney operations. Annabelle brings over 10 years media and communications experience gained from client and agency-facing roles, working across major consumer, lifestyle, corporate and entertainment brands.
Annabelle and Jess join a 45-strong team at Cassette, which already houses staff with PR agency, brand strategy and journalism backgrounds, and will be supported by a communications specific team expected to number 15 by early 2015.
The new public relations offer means Cassette has formally parted ways with past partner AMPR, though the businesses will continue to work collaboratively on shared clients.
The opening of the Hong Kong office also comes from a need to better service Cassette clients – particularly in the property sector where offshore marketing is increasingly important, and in Cassette’s print and branded merchandise business, which will be able to deliver better quality product with considerable savings.
Cassette’s growth has been consistent through its 15-year history, driven by founder and owner Charlie Goldsmith’s ongoing quest to service clients better and make the communications process as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Overseeing the new developments is director Jessica White, who has a breadth of experience in all facets of Cassette’s business operations, gained from three years as General Manager and prior in-house marketing roles at Mercedes-Benz, L’Oreal Australia and The GPT Group.

Pace Development Group and ID Land (property being a sector in which Cassette has unparalleled experience in), retail and consumer brands such as The GPT Group, Forever New, Jayco and NAB, and recent wins Lion Co. and the Victorian Racing Club (VRC).
