Aussie battery retailer, Battery World, have announced partnerships with home-grown sporting stars, Iron Man TJ Hendy, Big Bash Cricketer Ben Cutting, and Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medalist Mariafe Artacho del Solar for their brand new Christmas campaign.
Hendy, Cutting and Artacho del Solar will be the faces of Battery World’s ‘Power Your Summer’ Christmas campaign which encourages Aussies to get out this silly season and soak up the vitamin D doing what they love, from 4X4 adventures to camping and boating.
“As a beach volleyball player, the outdoors is very close to my heart,” Artacho del Solar (main photo, centre) said. “We’re so lucky to have access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia boasting crystal blue waters and clear, white sand.
“It was so humbling to see how much Australia got behind our team at the Tokyo Olympics, and to be able to return the favour and support Australians in having a safe and exciting summer with the help of Battery World is a privilege.”
Aussie Iron Man, TJ Hendy (main photo, right) shared her enthusiasm.
“Knowing how much passion Battery World has for encouraging Australians to get outside and to live life to the fullest is a message I’m proud to help get out there,” he said.
Battery World general manager, Johnny Kennedy said the passionate, active and adventurous lifestyles of all three athletes aligned with the brand’s mission to encourage people to explore Australia, without the barrier of border closures.
“We’re thrilled to partner with these three Australian athletes who have achieved incredible success in their respective fields and have made Australia proud as ambassadors of our country,” Kennedy said. “Their success is a clear testament to their drive and passion.”
Given summer encourages Aussies to charge up and get outdoors for long journeys to loved ones, as well as boating, camping, caravanning and enjoying some 4X4 adventures, it’s no surprise it’s also Battery World’s most electric time of year.
“Over the holiday season, we see a surge of customers preparing for their holidays,” Kennedy added. “We’d like to encourage holiday-makers to pop into their local Battery World to get those batteries checked, to ensure they’re charged and safe for their summer adventure.”
The ‘Power Your Summer’ campaign will see the three Aussie athletes promoting Australian-made Yuasa batteries, which are manufactured by the country’s oldest and most recognised battery maker – and Battery World parent company – Century Yuasa.
To celebrate the partnerships, one lucky customer will win a Quinitrex tinnie and trailer valued at $15,000 when they purchase either a Yuasa or Century battery in combination with any other product instore between 29 November to 24 December.
Customers will also go in the running to win a Cool Cabana, with one cabana to give away per store.
