To mark the opening of retail destination the Emporium Melbourne two giant floating cubes that use technology become mesmerising installations.

Created by global digital content agency tkm9, the first cube is a seven storey art-inspired projection on upper Swanston St.

The second is a 360 degree mapped cube that appears to hover in mid-air on Bourke St Mall.

They use the latest 3D projection mapping and feature a bespoke sound.

Mark Hodgens, CEO, tkm9 Group, said:“The concept of reimagine gave us a complete green light to get creative and push the limits of projection mapping 3D objects.  The floating cube on Bourke St is outstanding, a real must see for anyone that enjoys art, music and projections. The installations really show how progressive and innovative Emporium Melbourne is. This is an incredibly bold and creative way to do a countdown and we’re delighted to be involved.”
