Now leading one of the biggest news team in Australian journalism, Deborah has fostered in her team of 33 an ethical and high standard of content, championing women and mothers in work through advocacy and supporting flexibility.
Winning the Commercial Radio Award’s Brian White Memorial Award in 2013 for sustained achievement in the industry, Deborah was inspired to foster the next generation of commercial news journalists. In partnership with Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner, Deborah launched the Brian White Scholarship that aims to encourage the brightest, aspiring young minds in commercial radio news.
Overseeing ten radio stations around Australia, appearing on Sunrise and ABC’s The Drum and regularly contributing to print news such as the Daily Telegraph and Sydney Morning Herald, Deborah’s imprint on the Australian media world will be one to remember.
